Application of DuraPipe: Be widely used as transportation pipes in thermal power, metallurgy, mine, coal and chemical industry for its amazing advantages of wear resistance, corrosion resistance and thermal resistance as well. 1. Process flow The pipe consists of alumina ceramic, transition layer and steel as surface. The ceramic layer is sintered under the temperature of above 2200 ℃, and form a firm compound pipe combining with steel layer through the transition.
Advantages 1. Excellent wear resistance Adopting alumina ceramics as liner, arriving at above hardness 9.0 Mohs or HRC90, the pipes have high wear resistance for abrasive medium in various industries. 15 years practice has proved the lifetime of the pipe is above 10 times than normal hardened steel. 2. Friction promotion Inner surface smooth and without erosion, the inner smoothness of SHS pipes is superior to any other metal pipes and arrives at clear water resistance coefficient of 0.0193. 3. Corrosion resistance, scaling protection Alumina ceramic has advantages of seawater erosion, acid and alkali resistance, also scaling protection. 4. Prominent thermal and impact resistance Corundum ceramic(a-AL2O3)is stable crystal structure. The SHS compound pipe can be long time running under a temperature range of -50--700℃. The ceramic material has good thermal stability with linear thermal expansion coefficient6-8×10-6/0C,approximately at half of steel pipe. 5. Lower cost The weight of SHS compound pipe is just arriving at half of casting stone pipe and approximately 70% of alloy pipe. With advantages of wear and corrosion resistance, the lifetime of SHS pipe is outstandingly longer than other wear resistant pipes hereby the cost of assembly and running is largely reduced. 6. Easily assembly Due to its light weight and good weldability, it can be assembled easily with welding or flange connection and remarkably reduce the fixing cost.
